BOARD OF REVIEW

The Hudson Township Board of Review will meet for its organizational meeting on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 9:00a.m. to review the 2010 assessment roll.

Property owners may review their assessments before the Board of Review on March 8, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and March 9, 2010 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Protests may also be made by mail or fax (231 549-2646) if received prior to March 9.  All meetings will be held at the Hudson Township Hall, 07865 Reynolds Road, Elmira, Michigan.

YEAR 2010 CEILING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

Hudson Township wishes to thank all the contractors who submitted bids for our ceiling improvement project.  The bids were opened at the February 3rd Board Meeting, the low bidder was T&G Construction.    Complete bid tabs will be listed shortly.

Spring Clean Up

Spring is right around the corner and that means the annual township clean up.  Mark your calendars for May 1st.  Residents will receive a card in the mail or you may contact the Supervisor or Clerk for details.

Do you have Household Hazardous wastes or electronic equipment that can't be disposed of in a landfil?  The Charlevoix County Recycling Program is sponsoring a ONE DAY drop off day for househould hazardous waste on June 12th from 9:00a.m. - 2:00p.m.  Call 231 582-6193 or click here for complete information.

Our history

Hudson Township hosted "An introduction to the history of Hudson Township" by the Charlevoix County History Preservation Society on Monday, September 22nd at the Township Hall.  

Hudson Township was once a part of Otsego County and was officially added to Charlevoix County in 1869.  This was just the beginning - we're looking for historical photos, maps, documents, stories, etc.  If you have any information on the history of the township, please contact the Township Clerk . 

Road Improvements 

Three roads in the township have recently been improved with the placement of Afton Stone on their surface.  The roads improved are portions of Bingham Road, Kuzmik Road and Woodin Road.  Also done was the small portion of Bows Lake Road that ends on the shore of Huffman Lake.

At this time, it appears that North Camp Ten Road is not on the county road improvement plan any time soon.  Call your County Commissioner to voice your concern.

ROAD CHANGES

IMPORTANT NOTICE.  Please note that Camp Ten Road is now called "NORTH CAMP TEN ROAD" within Hudson Township.  The name has been changed to correct numbering issues that exist with the section of the road within Otsego County.  The name Camp Ten Road will only exist in Otsego County. 

McGregor Road has now been renamed in Hudson Township to "WOODWARD ROAD".  Woodward Road now runs from North Camp Ten Road to the Otsego County line, at which point it changes name to McGregor Road.

BINGO

The Hudson Township Auxiliary hosts a weekly Bingo game at the Township Hall every Wednesday night.   Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and Bingo begins at 7p.m.  All paper bingo.  Come join us! 

Proceeds from the game fund the township fire department and other civic projects.  The Auxiliary recently donated $50,000  towards the township's new fire trucks.
